๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒบDo All Volcanoes Look The Same?๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒด

Kia ora! This is my third presentation about volcanoes. It includes sentences about how a volano is erupting, and what is happening when a volcano erupts. I made my own volcano that is pouring out, hot, melting lava that spreads to a nearby village! I hope you all enjoy!

๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒบThe Present๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒด

Kia Orana! This term, I have been writing about a short film called "The Present." It's about a boy who gets a present from his mother, it turns out to be a chocolate-coloured dog! But turns out, the dog is missing his left paw. I hope you all enjoy! Meitaki!

๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒบTired, mum arrived home on a beautiful sunny afternoon, holding a box as she talked on her phone. Placing the box on the coffee table, she walked upstairs talking to a man who might have been her boss. The boy who was sitting on the sofa, clutching the console controller in his hands, took his mind off of the video game that he was playing, and locked his eyes onto the box. His eyes widened with exhilaration as he opened the box. A chocolate-coloured dog popped its head out, with its tongue sticking out with excitement. The boy lifted the dog up and started swaying it around and laughing, until he looked at the dog's left leg. Disgusted by the dog’s missing leg, the boy dropped the dog on the carpet floor and continued playing the video game that was playing on the big screen. The chocolate-coloured dog felt confused on why the boy had rejected him. So he wandered around the living room, to find a light red ball! Excited, the dog picked the ball up with its mouth and started playing ball by himself, knowing that the boy would reject him if he begged. Amazed, the boy glared at the chocolate-coloured dog, picking up what the dog could do with only three legs. He smiled and stood up with his crutches. Slowly, the boy walked towards the front door and opened it, there, at that moment, the boy finally found someone who experiences the struggle that he is going through. So he made the chocolate-coloured dog his own.๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒบ

๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŒœ Quality Blog Posts ๐ŸŒ›๐ŸŒƒ

๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŒœ Ohayล gozaimasu! My classroom has been learning about Quality Blog Posts. Which means that we have to rate the learning of students from all aross New Zealand! This is was actually really fun to do because I get to experience what other students have been learning about. ๐ŸŒ›๐ŸŒƒ

Fresh and Smooth is a story about how two loving siblings get separated.

Fresh and Smooth were quietly sitting in a fridge, somewhere in Auckland, New Zealand. A smell drifted through the air, coming in and out of the air vents. Many of the foods blamed it on Framarge

(Blue Cheese), but he denied it.

How rude! It can’t be me! I’m the finest cheese in all of France!”

Framarge and Smooth got into a big argument! As they argued, a gigantic hand reached into the fridge and pulled Fresh and Smooth out! They both were screaming with fear and confusion. They both were put into separate lunch boxes. Fresh was being transported to a school and Smooth was being transported to a business building. Fresh and Smooth had met a bunch of animals and rubbish on their adventure to find each other.

Later on, after a few months, a group of children had found Fresh and Smooth, washed up on Point Chevalier Beach.

I felt a little bit nervous when it was my turn to preform on the stage. But I just gave it my all and tried to brush the nervousness away. The song that we danced to was called

"Welcome Home"

by Dave Dobbyn.

We were taught by Ms. Green and Ms. Tuipulotu. The script was written by Ms. Green and I can say that it was very interesting and fun! I was so happy when I heard that the night performances turned out awesome!

The Lion and the Mouse

The lion was mighty and handsome looking. He had the eyes of a fierce black panther, a mane that was shiny and fluffy, claws that were as sharp as a chef's blade and a loud, mighty voice. His body was muscular and healthy. He loved to show the other animals how strong he was, and how brave and responsible he is when leading his pack. The tiny mouse had oval shaped eyes, fur that was soft and silky. He had cute little paws that were the size of a bread crumb and never ending courage. Instead of having a loud and mighty voice, he had a quiet, gentle voice like a person reading a nice poem out loud. The mouse wanted to be like the mighty lion. One night, the mouse woke up with an amazing idea to achieve his goal. He got out of his bed, grabbed a guide book and practised his roaring. Every single time he practised, the only sound that would come out of his little mouth was a squeak. But that didn’t stop him from trying to achieve. When the mouse woke up from his nap, he felt really confident, so he changed out of his pj’s and walked to the big rock that was in the middle of some animals that were talking. He climbed on top of the big rock and let out a big squawk! Different types of animals that were nearby, gathered around the mouse. They laughed and laughed, some joined the mouse and started making sounds. They were all so loud that the tiny mouse couldn’t hear himself. All of the animal sounds made his soft squawk sound like a roar! He felt happy so he jumped off the rock and traveled to the lion's mossy, humongous rock where he found the lion fast asleep. Carefully, the mouse tip toes his way to the lion's face. It was amazing to see the mighty lions face up close… Loudly, the little mouse gasped! The lion's eyes forced open and his pupils stared straight into the little mouse's eyes. “Eeeaaakk!” Screamed the lion. With courage, the little mouse said, “Hello almighty lion! I have come here to show you my roar!” The lion was confused… Can a tiny mouse like him let out a roar? Carefully, the mouse climbed the lons face with his eyes following his movements, sat next to the lion's ear and squeaked as loud as he could. The lion bursted out with laughter. “We can work on your roar together, tiny mouse.” He said. The mouse agreed. In the end they became friends. The lion learnt not to be a showoff.

Would you like to meet my insect?

My favourite insect is a butterfly, mostly the blue ones. Why? Because the color blue reminds me of the ocean, and the ocean reminds me of the days that I was happy and joyful. What about your favourite insect? Would you like to meet mine?

๐Ÿฆ‹✨The Tunnel✨๐Ÿฆ‹

Bravely, my classmates and I examined a nearby waterfall. Eyeing the stream, I noticed a mysterious creature gracefully moving, left to right. My other classmates who had been catching up to us, spotted the creature and started gasping in shock, some of them were even shouting with joy.

I was thrilled to find out what it was until it disappeared from all the shouting my classmates caused. So I waited for it to come back, while the others were leaning over to the stream to search for the creature. My mind was focused on the stream and sound.

Breathtakingly, the sounds of the fresh water coming from the waterfall made me focus. The sounds of the light breezy wind blowing across my face felt like some was massaging my it.It felt like I was dreaming.. It reminded me of sunny, breezy road trips.

The feeling and sounds I heard and felt, took my mind away from why we came to the waterfall. Why were at the waterfall anyways?

The Treaty Of Waitangi

On the 6th February 1840, the Maori people sat as the British stood. One by one, the Maori chiefs signed a treaty and called it: ‘The Treaty Of Waitangi’.  A Maori chief named Tฤraia Ngฤkuti, full name Taraia Ngakuti Te Tumuhuia, refused to sign the treaty for he didn’t want to make the British govern (Which means to create the law about behaviour).

James Busby was one of the men who had been witnessing the debate, along with Lieutenant-Governor William Hobson.  Flags were hung on the walls where the debate was held, one of them was a flag of New Zealand - It had 4 stars and a square on the left  with some type of pattern but something didn’t make sense, why was the Union Jack (British) flag laying flat on the table? And why are the British dressed like they are?
